The Miniature Pinscher is hundreds of years old, older than the Doberman Pinscher, to which it has no relation. It was developed as a ratter by crossing German Pinschers with Dachshunds or Italian Greyhounds. It was first seen in the United States in that 1920s.

Grooming
The Miniature Pinscher is very easy to groom. Occasional brushing is all that is required to maintain a healthy coat.
Training
Miniature Pinschers are very intelligent dogs that will learn quickly if training is consistent.
